The advantage of using stainless steel is that it does not corrode. It has a chromium and iron content, but more chromium than iron (which means more corrosion resistant). The advantage is to be able to ‘stay clean’ longer, compared to other materials like carbon steel. This advantage also means that stainless steel is hygienic. It does not cause allergies or infections, which are often associated with milder steels.
